Three years ago IvyQ and Ivy League Lesbians & Friends hit Hotel Café for an amazing Antigone Rising show. The band is finally returning to LA, and we're heading back for another listen.

Hotel Café (www.hotelcafe.com) is one of LA’s most iconic independent music venues. Antigone Rising (www.AntigoneRising.com ) is an iconic, all-lesbian, indie rock band that’s been crushing it on the east coast for more than a dozen years, had a Billboard Top-20 album, has opened for the Rolling Stones, Aerosmith and Rob Thomas, among other legends, and headlined more than a 1200 of their own shows. They feature distinctive 3-part harmonies, a bass player married to the president of GLAAD, and an alt-country rock sound featuring a slate of beloved original songs. They also give back through a schools program they developed calls Girls Rising. Meetup group member Jen Rottenberg – a friend of the band – is SO EXCITED they’re returning to LA that she wanted to be sure all her fellow meetup members didn’t miss out!

We’ll start with…

Dinner/Happy Hour: We’ll be gathering at St. Felix (https://hollywood.saintfelix.net/), just across the street from Hotel Cafe, for dinner/happy hour. We’ll be there from 6 to 8 pm (happy hour prices run ‘til 8pm). We’ve reserved a private area (the "Powder Room") but NEED your RSVP so that we can give the restaurant an accurate advance headcount!

Then, around 8 pm, we’ll head to Hotel Café for the show… Showtime: 8:30 pm

Admission: You MUST purchase your tickets for the show directly from the Hotel Café website (https://www.hotelcafe.com/tickets/?s=events_view&id=7957) – they are just $14.50 each (including fees). Tickets will be available for purchase at the door only if the show is not sold out.

Special Deal: Anyone who identifies themselves as a meetup member will receive special discounts on the band's CDs.
