We are sad to report the death of Kurtland MA (Yale '02, Yale MED '08) on Saturday, March 29. He was reportedly stabbed to death by his partner.

Kurtland was an active GALA member since his time as a student at Yale. He graduated Yale SM 2002 and Yale Med School in 2008 and worked in emergency medicine, first in New York City and more recently in Hollywood, California. Kurtland hailed from Scottsdale, Arizona.

Kurt was a wonderful young man with a brillant mind, a kind heart, an infectious smile and great energy. He loved family and friends deeply, had a great sense of adventure and a love of travel, visiting many countries. He would often share a handstand photo from the places he visited.

There will be a funeral for Kurtland MA on Saturday, April 12 in Phoenix, Arizona. Details to follow.
