Join Yale GALA and 1,000+ Tri-State attendees for the 30th Anniversary of the Harriman Cup. The Harriman Cup is the annual alumni polo match between Yale and UVA, which is also an annual fundraiser to benefit the undergrad polo programs at Yale and UVa. The $ will also rebuild Yale polo.

The event offers a day of competitive polo, tailgating, music and dancing and is attrractive to polo lovers as well as those new to the game of polo. This is a co-ed, mixed event -- gay and straight -- but with a substantial LGBT presence on the Harriman Cup Host Committee, Board and event.

Alumni from ALL schools are welcome and invited to attend. Prizes will be awarded for the Best Hat, Best Outfit, and Best Tailgate.

Where: Bethpage State Park, Old Bethpage, Long Island, NY

Transit: Drive (directions http://www.harrimancup.org/) or take the LIRR train to Bethpage Station (50 minutes from Manhattan). FREE shuttle buses will run continuously 10 am - 6 pm between Bethpage station and polo field.

When - Saturday, September 13. EVENT SCHEDULE:

10 AM - Gates Open
11 AM – Bike Polo Exhibition
12 - 2 PM– UVa vs Yale Alumni Polo Match
2 PM – Awards Ceremony
2:30 PM – Dance party
6 PM – Last bus back to the LIRR train station leaves

COST: $60 in advance (buy at http://www.harrimancup.org/), $90 at the Gate. Tax-deductible amount?
Children 12 years old and under attend for free.

Players Tent (VIP tailgate and reception, with catered gourmet lunch and complimentary champagne, bourbon, wine, berry, firefly-and-lemonade punch and soft drinks) costs an extra $XX

Attendees are invited to set up their own tailgates during the match. Food and soft drinks will also be available for purchase at the event.
