Please join us for a fun All-GALA Dinner (Casual) and 2 Presentations at People -- We have the Whole Restaurant for the event!
People serves Pan-Asian food. We will have an hour of passed appetizers, film clips plus a discussion followed by plus a buffet dinner, light dessert and coffee at this friendly event.
Date: Thursday, November 20, 6:30 - 9:00 pm.
Passed appetizers 6:30 - 7:30 pm

Program:
1. Gail Freedman, filmmaker, will show clips from Hot to Trot, her controversial film-in-progress about same-sex ballroom dancing. Gail has produced, directed and written numerous award-winning documentaries in the past 20 years, including the acclaimed "Making the 9-11 Memorial". She also worked at 60 Minutes and 20/20, is a Barnard alumni and teaches at Columbia.
2. Andrew Lear is a Classicist, expert on same-sex love in the ancient world and founder of Oscar Wilde Tours. Lear is speaking on "From King Edward II to Sir Ian McKellen: the world's gayest National Portrait Gallery (UK)", about LGBT historical figures portrayed ath the UK's National Porrait Gallery. Lear has taught at Harvard, Columbia and NYU.
Cost: $30 in advance through PayPal, $40 cash at the door.
Includes appetizers, dinner and coffee with a light dessert. Cash bar.
